How to prepare for your family session

Yay you're all booked in and now you're wondering- what's next? Here are some tips to make your family session a fun experience!

  1. Location! Planning a location and time of day can set the mood for your photos. Do you love sunset lake photos? In home family sessions? Afternoons at the skate park? I always want the location to feel meaningful to YOU. What do you love to do? What do you want to remember about this season of life as a family? If you love cozying up at home doing crafts, an in home session works perfectly. If you're kids are big into skateboarding, lets head to the skate park! The location helps to tell your families story and what makes you unique!

  2. Feed everyone! This one is especially important to keep little kids happy and excited. If your little one needs a nap during the day make sure to try and squeeze one in before the photos too so everyone is all rested up!

  3. "I don't know how to pose" Don't worry! I will help you guys every step of the photoshoot. We will definitely get a few shots of everyone smiling and looking at the camera but I want you to take this time to enjoy with your kids too. Play with them, tickle them, laugh together. I want to be a fly on the wall and capture your family exactly as you are so when you get your photos back you can peek into your daily life as a family!
